Previously Anna Stonehouse, I am a self-employed Piano Teacher, Community Music Tutor and Freelance Musician based in Cardiff, Wales.

After completing a BA Hons in Music at the University of Southampton graduating in June 2016, I then pursued a career in event sales and management at The Royal Marines Museum, Portsmouth and Solent Students Union, Southampton. I regularly organised corporate conferences , weddings and student summer balls and freshers fayres, regularly doubling the target income.

 

Alongside event management, I continued to pursue other musical avenues such as teaching and composition. I was commissioned to write and perform a silent film score for The Jutland Legacy conference at The Royal Historic Dockyard in Portsmouth. I also taught 1:2:1 pupils the piano part time from 2016 in my home.  

 

I then moved to Cardiff in 2018 and in 2021 set my business up 'Stonehouse Music' as a Self - Employed Piano Teacher and Freelance Musician. In May 2022 I completed two courses with the Welsh charity Community Music Wales; Cornerstones training programme and Community Music Tutor training programme under the teaching of Sarah Harman. This lead onto regular community music work in and around Cardiff area.

I am now a Teaching Partner at The Primo School of Music in Insole Court, Llandaff. I manage the social media accounts, Primo Summer School and the annual recital.

I teach 1:2:1 piano to all ages and abilities from my home in Fairwater, Cardiff on my 1909 Bluthner upright piano.

I am also band member the brilliant band Strathallan - Scottish Country Dance Band who regularly play for Royal Scottish Country Dances, ceilidhs and weddings. https://strathallanband.co.uk/

I live with my husband, son and beautiful black and white cat Carmen in our home in Fairwater. I love Yoga, Gymnastics and baking free from goods and being out in the countryside walking.
